It's called an autofluorescing nephelometer.
Autofluorescence refers to the fact that we're basically shining ultraviolet light on the droplets and looking for any fluorescence that, in other wavelengths, other colors of light.
And then nephelometer is just a fancy word for an instrument that measures the light that's scattered from particles.
