It's a SCOBY, a symbiotic community of bacteria and yeast.

is there are ways that you can get the scoby, which basically allows you to make your own kombucha at home.

But if you can get your hands on a SCOBY, kombucha is another one that's super simple.

I have the big issue that I can never form a proper SCOBY, which is a Symbiotic Colony of Bacteria and Yeast.

You brew tea, you add sugar to it, and you put the SCOBY in, and you wait a week or two, depending upon the temperature,

So yeah, in my bus, when it's constantly moving, I can never get a proper SCOBY, which is not necessary for starting a new batch.
