How to pronounce“letterforms”in English

There were wonderful experiments by Bruno Munari on letterforms some years ago --

But all I have to do is fill certain areas of those letterforms and I can bring those words out of the background pattern.

That way, they wouldn’t need to go forge a whole new set of letterforms or create a new kind of typewriter just to explain how to pronounce “Gavagai” or something.
