So when this guy comes up with a new thing to do, how likely is it to propagate throughout the social network? It's community vetting of ideas and behaviors that results in the adoption of a new behavior.
Scientists do this, too. They are endlessly testing and vetting each other's claims. Without expertise from a diversity of scientists, the scientific process would fail.
Maybe another example from another group that I joined in the US, actually a neo-Nazi group that was operating on the gaming app Discord.
