What do you think it will look like when nonbinary identities are commonly known about and expected in society?

And I think it's really important for us as trans people and nonbinary people to step into spaces that are gendered and say,

So it's not just about people who are wondering what it means to be nonbinary.

It's really like an aha moment for people who ultimately identify as nonbinary and opening up a whole new world for them.

And so right now, the stereotype of nonbinary people or gender queer people is kind of this white, thin, androgynous kind

So, for myself, when I heard about nonbinary a few years ago, and I had the opportunity in a role where it didn't matter how I presented, just for me,

The problem is, there is no gender team for nonbinary people, right?

And just for our audience, it's-- this pronoun is-- pronoun "they" is often used by nonbinary people.

But I'm only one very small slice of who the nonbinary community is.

Yeah, I mean, I think first when I say nonbinary community, there isn't one community, right?

There's things that you don't know exist, like nonbinary gender.

And I think right now, there isn't really room for nonbinary gender.

There is, again, this trope that nonbinary gender is a fad, that it's new.

We are welcoming allies, so that means male, and nonbinary, and all the people.

So, say, genderfluidity or nonbinary-- most people consider that to fall under trans.

So what I thought was really impactful about that, you know, I'm nonbinary myself.

Like you were like I am a gay man, but then at another point, you the nonbinary came around.

And so in starting to read, and research, and watch stuff, I was researching nonbinary, and I swear to you, I watched like three videos, and then just started weeping,

But I think it's something that we'll always-- as queer, trans, nonbinary people, we have to sort of parse out

And I know that there's a lot of trans, GNC, nonbinary young people who are also engineers,

And so back then, I didn't even know what gender fluidity was, what being nonbinary was.

After 15 years of being an entertainer, I realized that, OK, I am nonbinary, and these are my pronouns, and this is how I'm supposed to talk to people about it.
