How to pronounce “indy” in English

IndyCar Series as they begin their 2023 season and start their epic quest for racing's greatest prize, the Indianapolis 500, which is this upcoming Sunday.

IndyCar is the pinnacle of motor sports in the US.

And the Indy 500 is one of our incredible clients.

This is your fourth Indy 500.

Born and raised in Indy, so I love it for that reason.

my first Indy 500 was 2005.

And talking about the Indy 500, you were the first woman-- you lead for 19 laps in the Indy 500 when you were 23 years old.

And after that Indy 500 I did.

You were the Grand Marshal of the Indy 500.

Because I work with Allison on the Indy 500.

The defending champion of the Indy 500 driving for Andretti Autosport, Alexander Rossi.

But there was also the Indy 500 going on at the same time.

Not the case for the IndyCar races.

And he met my mom when he came to do the Indy 500 and he never left.

So there's a lot of ways to win the Indy 500, also a lot of ways to lose it.

But I got into it in my first year of Indy Car and thought, it's not a for sure thing.

And how does something like an SRX improve your IndyCar racecraft?" HÉLIO CASTRONEVES: I enjoy it because driving different type

Because you already kind of made it in IndyCar.

But it seemed like my talent as a driver in IndyCar was going like this and my cars went like this.

And it was approached-- I was approached by-- Vice and CW and Indy were chatting

And then the Indy 500 is this Sunday.

There's a lot of people here that probably are less familiar with the Indy 500.

And has driven with Indy car.

To be one of 13 drivers in history that have led Daytona and Indy.

But the team that I drove for in the lower level racing had an IndyCar team.

And they're here to discuss the new docuseries, "100 Days to Indy," a behind-the-scenes look at the bold and brash personalities of the NTT

And at this point, because we're at a hundred days to Indy, which is few days now, it's hard for you

the pole position, the rings to everyone that are participating of the Indy 500.

"Do you prepare differently for especially important races, like Indy, or do you do the same prep for all races?"

There's no mechanics in there like an Indy 500 with rockets that can help you speed.

Major League Soccer, Pro Football Hall of Fame and the Indy 500.

We had the single largest sporting event in the world every year, the Indy 500.

And so now, overseeing all the planning and execution at the Indy 500, which has been great.

So I've always been a fan of Indy and Peyton and Larry Bird.

But qualifying, I think just from a history standpoint at the Indy 500, is always very cool and very important.

So speaking a little bit about the history, you guys both drive for teams with Indy 500 legends.

Well, I think that when I got my ride in IndyCar-- It came the year before at Indy.

It was huge. Everybody now, racing IndyCar or Formula One or NASCAR or even GP, the team goes and climbs

And all of a sudden my boss said, and Danica's going to drive in IndyCars next year.

And I was approached, and someone said, hey, what do you think about this style of a show, where it's following drivers as it leads up to the Indy 500?

It's the busiest time for us, because imagine the biggest race of the season, biggest race of the Indy,

And so it's just a matter of trying to cover the feel and the vibe of the whole area and the town of Indy.

So the Super Bowl really is a month-long event, when you get down to it, and the Indy 500 is a month-long event when you get down to it.

You know, even when we had the Super Bowl, the Indy 500 still just blows it out of the water, just for sheer magnitude and the amount

So it's challenging, but in the end, it's qualifying for Indy and you know, for four laps, you have to go out there and eliminate every emotion,

It's very important for us, as well, especially at the Indy 500 because everything is so crucial.
