Patriarchy is not ideal for me as a man.And one of the reasons I wrote about it in terms of fatherhood-- one, because I had been writing about parenting, and I'm a parenting expert, whatever that means,so it was a reasonable place for me to enter the conversation.

So it literally means rule by the father.And I thought, we need to deconstruct fatherhood if we're really going to look at what patriarchy is doing to all of us.And so that's part of what I wanted to do.
