In a lot of ways, writing battles and such with "Thrawn" is like writing a mystery. You start from your endpoint and work your way back. Or OK, I know this is going to be your initial setup, and then you start playing chess against yourself.
It's not our favorite story that I was thinking of. We're the endpoint and the goal of evolution. We're the endpoint of evolution, the goal of evolution.
We're the endpoint and the goal of evolution. We're the endpoint of evolution, the goal of evolution. And we are absolutely special and absolutely different and better than everything else.
OK. And of course, everyone's cleaned that hands so it's to be absolutely-- Just that the endpoint of the journey-- can someone finish that off for me?
But the idea over there is that using an advanced form of cryptography, you're able to distribute the private key across multiple endpoints and effectively sort of reduce the single point of failure and the single point of compromise that if one user is breached, or one user tries to defraud the system, the transaction will actually go through.
Why? Because we ship on time. Are there server-side endpoints , or updates to the website that need to roll out before your thing can be turned on?
If the answer's yes, you go left. It gets you down to an endpoint . This is about a third of the size of the optimal tree, but relatively legible to human eyes.
But hallucinating that same tree is even more vivid. So dreaming seems like the natural endpoint of the process of descending the spectrum. We need to understand this whole transition to understand the mind.
And as so often happens in the news, the news takes us to an interesting place and then doesn't capitalize. Here's a little autobiographical endpoint .
and you don't want to have the kind of collateral damage. These kinds of backdoors and endpoint software and products, are really difficult and messy.
relationship for sure. But, like I said earlier, it's really well understood. The trials did not achieve their clinical endpoints .
And remember, there is a web component to most mobile heavyweight apps. We are delivering web and backend endpoints and web endpoints to deliver content and experience to the phone. That's iOS. Same kind of story on Android.
and you don't want to have the kind of collateral damage. Our argument was all about endpoints , and unfortunately, and sadly, if you, as someone in the middle, have clear text, if you have access to the stuff,
So that's the first trend. The second trend is locked down endpoints . And I think this is more of a trend in businesses than in technology.
When you come to the game do connect with MetaMask, or connect with wallet, connect wherever and use your non-custodial wallet. with kind of share the infrastructure for that on the endpoint , whether it's like within Chrome
But this whole idea of superposition in quantum mechanics is really what's given this weird notion that the particles traverse in all possible paths between the beginning point and the endpoint . So that just is so non-intuitive to me.
The same way all these things-- collaboration, engagement-- they're not just things that you make a beautiful classroom and then those things happen. So there's a little-- there are two final endpoints to that story.
So it's monitoring and making sure further that not only is it connected to more than 155 devices, but those devices are spinning really, really fast. That's our product, Symantec Endpoint Protection.
Why? Because we ship on time. 10x what they thought it was, or the endpoint 's not there, or it's not at the right level to make the right response.
on "The Sapling." You have all these things sort of surrounding it. Are they influences? Are these the sort of endpoints that you're using to kind of write from? What are those for you?
And that's the case for dreaming and for significant parts of the lower spectrum. We can only reproduce the spectrum in software if we can reproduce the endpoints , to start. Thinking about, I believe, can be simulated on a computer, and there's been a lot of work on that.
I want to be able to think just about the relationships between the two endpoints and what I'm trying to accomplish.
So magnetic field lines are actually loops, they don't have an origin or endpoint .
And they could actually just be done with good cognitive testing and just use that as the endpoint without anything else.
to or amounting to, that are not defined by some kind of endpoint .
And there's a manual test you can do-- you guys are familiar-- to kind of see if you have an endpoint .
Multiple high level orthopedic guys are all testing my knee, and they think I have an endpoint .
and adults. And that actually is a real problem for endpoint detection, if anybody's ever worked on that, because they don't just behave the same way.
So what it just shows is the baseline, then at the primary endpoint , which is the end of the blinded portion.
against this, but it would seem like a story that has an obvious endpoint , but the truth is the trick up the sleeve narratively to me has always
So it's monitoring and making sure further that not only is it connected to more than 155 devices, but those devices are spinning really, really fast. What Stuxnet might do is, in the presence of Symantec Endpoint Protection, it might basically eliminate two of the different mechanisms from spreading,
It just deepens. And that's very exciting to me-- that there's no endpoint to any of it.
Phonologies kind of arrange themselves in this way, but that was the endpoint .
So if that had been the case, then presumably that would then be the endpoint of human civilization.
But I think it's so much fun to discover a journey rather than set an endpoint and say this is where it is.
So there's this kind of interesting juxtaposition of a really general process with really specific endpoints .
And that's what I'm thinking is interesting, right now. And it does dovetail very nicely with the current alignment of power on the internet-- the rise of the controlled endpoints , and the third party holding your data-- those two different polls.
And then go back to saying, OK, what are the skills I need to have in order to get to this endpoint ?
These, hopefully, don't have a day on the calendar that is the specific endpoint .
And it's not necessarily reflective of how cooking actually works, which is that often there's more than one way to get to that endpoint .
And there's a satisfaction in completing things, finishing things, getting to an endpoint .
So thinking about the seismic shift that would have to happen in this country to embrace that, in fact, college isn't the only endpoint for education--
So it's monitoring and making sure further that not only is it connected to more than 155 devices, but those devices are spinning really, really fast. Right? OK. So for instance, let's imagine we had Symantec Endpoint Protection.
Steve: I should add that Simon Conway Morris is a Christian. He believes evolution has direction, but he's very cautious about saying it has some purpose, or endpoint . He says
and you can imagine drawing a kind of foliation, a fan of lines that connect them. So the endpoints are matched from the shorter to the longer segment, and the midpoints are matched and
All sorts of improbabilities and absurdities happen in dreams, of course, and we don't mind. Thinking about and experience-- thinking about on the one hand, experience on the other-- are good ways to identify the endpoints of this spectrum of consciousness, the spectrum of conscious states.
Both of the talk, where the high-level issues are, and the sense that I interested in the endpoints of connections, and not all the network crap in the middle.
We had to use the wire to keep the single contained, to maintain the relationships between the bits, the endpoints .
Allen: Right, Okay. So I think, so the Xeno example is one of those cases where the two endpoints are clear, and, but something must change in the middle, but we have a really
