How to pronounce “denali” in English

Denali.

Denali is a mountain that is so big and so vast, that when you see it-- I remember the first time I saw Denali.

Mount Denali.

On Denali, she co-led the first women's team climb.

So for Denali, because I was so nervous about Denali, I trained for two months.

And so Denali in itself is an incredibly hard mountain to climb.

Or people think of Denali.

So we organized the Denali Damsels, and here we are on the mountain.

What makes a climb of Denali special is that it is a combination of mountaineering and Arctic expedition.

When I came back from Denali, I was somehow disappointed by my pictures.

And I understood why people called Denali the great one.

And yeah, Denali is a tough climb, and it was-- Denali actually, for me, was a-- is a very different story.

Another time I got to do this was on Denali.

And then in 2016, I climbed Mount Denali.

And there's this other peak, Mount Denali.

Yeah, so this is from the peak Mount Denali, which is the highest peak of North America.

Or going to Denali.

So this is the first all women's expedition on top of Denali, which I took the picture, so I'm not in it.

And I wrote for the information and it said women can go on a Denali trip at a reduced price, as far as base

back then, and to climb Denali you need about 200 pounds of food and gear, 30 days of food.

So that is a whole lot different experience for me, Mount Denali.

So that is when my father immediately applied for the US climb, Denali climb.

I have been able to climb other places-- Aconcagua, Denali, Russia-- I got to go there with my good friend Erik Weihenmayer, who lives here in Golden.

Because he knew that I would probably wake up a few years down the line and think "I regret doing Denali."

An expedition style, which is Vinson in Antarctica and Denali, you are a walking everything.

Most people take five or 10 years to train for a big expedition like Everest or Denali, then come home, plan and train for the next one.

So we get up about halfway on Denali.

And indeed, when I applied to go on an expedition to Denali, the highest mountain in North America, I was told that women didn't have

We were very happy, because we hadn't even know if women could climb Denali.

Marmot -- it's not like the Yellow-bellied Marmot you might see here in the Sierras or up Denali National Park even.

And I said, I was climbing with my friends from Reed in Peru, and we climbed higher than Denali in the Andes.
