It's not saving a baby from a burning building. Bravery is about joy, joy to do the things that you want to do.A perfect example of this is, basically, a fourth grader named Ainsley.
And so they came. Bravery doesn't always feel good.
And now, we're getting the outgrowth of all of the PR that went along with that. Bravery is that spine that runs through all of it, but just remember, it's OK.
But how do you keep making-- how do you keep going in there? Bravery carries a cost.
OK, again, what's this got to do with anything? the bravery of the people who devoted their lives to building this, and the people who devoted their lives to coming up
I want to better understand how they got to where they are. And it did take bravery , I will say.
And so I've had to let a lot of that go. Courage and bravery and being willing to swim upstream.
And instead of writing his character out or getting another actor to replace him, the show really just addressed it head-on. And how did the bravery of some of the plot lines like this really set the tone for "Sesame Street" to be a different kind of children's show? Well Joan Ganz Cooney always called it an experiment.
But I thought I would start, given the title of the book-- can you help us with a definition? You have said "bravery will set us free." But can you kick us off with a working definition of bravery ? Yeah. So bravery , to me, it's not dragon slaying, right?
Don't even get me started about Main Street where everywhere you look, we are waiting to be perfect to lead. And I think that bravery is the antidote to that. I think bravery will make us happier, will make us more joyful, and thus, will make us more successful.

And now these guys aren't thinking about the random girls that they want to have sex with. That-- the bravery to have the vulnerability to say out loud the pain and the fear that you've experienced.
But 80% of CEOs actually say that they don't trust their CMO, and we'll get into that. But having bravery is a path forward. This idea of kind of facing danger, fear, or difficulty, I think, aligns really well with this idea that I'm talking about.

I mean, I guess in a more subtle way, I can in a way that coming forward 15 months ago has started this floodgate of other women feeling the confidence and the bravery and the courage to do the same thing. Yeah. So I imagine-- maybe, maybe not-- we have some Fox News viewers in the room or watching on live stream.

And I really do applaud your bravery and your courage and your leadership.
And in an incredible moment of bravery , she really set aside her own justifiable fears and said to me what I needed to hear in that moment.

I appreciate it. So what I wanted to chat a little bit with you guys about today-- and first of all, thank you for having me here. I'm excited to be here-- is the importance of bravery in marketing and why that's so important, really, in today's marketing landscape and in the world that is, really, so focused on technology and data and how we intercept the art and the science of marketing.

And if you look at just the technical definition of bravery , it's this idea of the quality or state of having or showing mental or moral strength to face danger, fear, or difficulty. So those are really powerful words when you think about them in the business context, but from the lens of a CMO,
We're trying to break through and make emotional engagements with people, and it's more difficult than ever before. And I think we know a little bit about bravery , if you think about my company, Ally Financial, and what we did. So think about the fact that, like you guys, we're a pretty young company.
It's near $30 a share a year and a half later. So I encourage you guys to think about the importance of bravery , filter out the noise, and just push forward and do what you need to do. I'm going to play the launch spot that launched the new campaign.
