I ended up playing the bassoon for the next five years until I graduated high school.

Well, I played the bassoon for five years in junior high and high school.

But the thing is that through "The Bassoon King," Rainn really lets us know who he really is

But I have a little section here I'm going to read about the bassoon, and about being nerdy in high school.

And he was like, the bassoon.

Part of what the book is about, "The Bassoon King," is why I always play these weird outsiders, and I'm really drawn to playing these weird, outsider roles.

And with that ridiculous manipulation, a bassoonist was born.

So I get to be onstage and go, oh, I was wondering what it would sound like if I put the piccolos two octaves above the bassoon

Like I said in the intro, we all love "The Office," but I think what I especially loved about "The Bassoon King" is really getting

I hadn't played a bassoon in 30 years.

And then, if that wasn't enough, I decided to play the bassoon.

Boom, universe explodes, then implodes, then explodes again, quickly folding in on itself, only to create infinite other bassoon-shaped universes.

I think the title of the book-- in and of itself it's a microcosm of the book, because you have "The Bassoon King," a fun title.

Cliff: In terms of the instruments of people's dreams once again my personal favorite, although the bassoon was a close -- not on the list.

And he took out all the colorful jazz instruments and more colorful sounding less common instruments, and replaced them with oboes, and bassoons,
