So being raised around Wax Trax and being so intimately familiar with all the music, do you have any favorites-- any favorite records,

because you put it out under Wax Trax, you know?

You know, that was coined later for Wax Trax bands.

In the 1980s, partners Jim Nash and Dannie Flesher used Wax Trax, the Chicago-based record store and music label, to take a group of outsiders--

Gosh, yeah, because we were in Wax Trax, you know, so there was always a music scene going on there.

But as those bands moved to major labels, things actually took a worse turn for Wax Trax.

So we drove around the city with microphones and talked about lounge acts, Wax Trax We went to the Wilco lofts.

So with Vans, they are very much-- they are Wax Trax, just with a lot more employees and a lot more money.

And so, let's take a look at the trailer, and then we'll have a chat with Julia and Mark about the history and possible future of Wax Trax.

Well, because it was never-- I mean, I don't think Wax Trax was ever trendy in a way.

Pailhead is just a great collaboration, and like I've mentioned before, the Underworld I think the first one that came out on Wax Trax

And the thing is, like putting this movie together, we've listened to a lot of Wax Trax music.

So we'll talk about the brand and the fact that you own the Wax Trax brand.

So the thing is, those guys collected everything, as we've said a million times, and it wasn't just like it's everything Wax Trax.
