How to pronounce “shiso” in English

And shiso. Have you ever seen a shiso leaf?

So shiso is one of those foods.

If we added some shiso or something, that would be a flavor.

So things like shiso leaves, which are really kind of Japanese, are grown in Dorset,

It's called shiso limeade.

This is red shiso.

So Chinese shiso looks like this.

And so that's shiso.

So there you go-- shiso limeade.

We don't put shiso in our umeboshi, because shiso makes the ume quite hot pink.

And there's various kinds of shiso.

And you also grow the green shiso.

So you might have seen shiso before when you order sushi.

I knew I wanted to serve shiso as a beverage because it kind of has this refreshing, lemony, herbal, minty scent, but a really nice earthy undertone.

And the one that we're using today is called Chinese shiso.

So for instance, the shiso is out of the Leaves chapter.

So I didn't really feel like I needed the shiso.

Just two ingredients, sesame seeds and shiso, and then the tofu.

So today I'm going show you one of my favorite ways to prepare shiso, which is in this limeade.

And I let it steep for about 15 to 30 minutes so that that shiso flavor really infuses the water.

So as you can see, something like shiso that maybe you'd pass at the grocery store, or you've seen it at the farmer's market, you're like,

So you have to be kind of careful when you're going to make this recipe that you are sure you are identifying the right kind of shiso.

And then we went by the Japanese place, had the do-your-own ramen, had a piece of hand roll, smoked salmon, yogurt, shiso raspberry and lemon verbena.
