This is a topic that's very near and dear to my heart.Growing up as a nonverbal child-- I was actually nonverbal till I was 2 and 1/2 and diagnosed with something called pervasive developmental disorder not otherwise specified,a form of an autism spectrum disorder, when I was four years old.
