As these companies and a lot of the AI researchers continue en masse to put out this grandiose narrative that we're on the verge of creating a superintelligence that we're gonna automate all this cognitive work that humans do. Like maybe, and I'm not making this up, you'll have people say things like, "In five or 10 years," we won't need human scientists
terrible crimes, is that not only is it potentially insightful because they might give you a real answer and not just a controlled narrative about why they committed these crimes. If they are either maintaining their innocence or they're more reluctant to do that, I think even the narrative that they are controlling, that they're being very careful with, still tells us a lot about them. I believe it all comes back to you are what you eat. And when you say that the brain fills in our blind spots with memories, some of which are are reliable and some of which aren't,
you are, or what you should do, or who your friends are. And the point of history generally, and the point of narrative more specifically, is it takes those otherwise disconnected events, and it puts them together, and it gives them meaning, and it gives you a sense of like what the themes of your life are, and who your heroes should be, and who
