How to pronounce “nagel” in English

Those who have read Thomas Nagel's "What Is It Like to Be a Bat?"

And so the philosopher Thomas Nagel wrote a famous essay titled, "What Is It Like to Be a Bat?"

That's a classic example by Nagel.

And so it's useful to use Thomas Nagel's description from his essay "What is it Like to Be a Bat?"

And I always like to use the definition from the philosopher Thomas Nagel, who 51 years ago now put it like this.
