I'm a huge Motown fan and I've seen the show two times.
I wouldn't call Sam Cooke a Motown artist, but still a soul artist and someone who really inspired me as well.

And we'd all come back with Motown CDs from-- I remember NSYNC was a favorite one too.
They've seen the videos of "Motown Philly," and then they see "End of the Road," and we kind of walk around and don't do much.
She's sang on all these old Motown records.
What if I came up with a Motown tribute to Nickelback.
We're calling it the Motown of New Orleans because I'm really trying to focus on local talent the way Motown did, and really develop some of the things
I had to learn like Motown and Aretha and jazz, Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald.
So everyone who's been involved in Motown -- who is still with us-- has come to see the show at some point.

You have held roles in "Hamilton" and "A Bronx Tale," bringing on the musical "Motown " and "Pippin."
I mean, we're just getting the Motown Museum, which was literally just a house, and now they're building an actual full-on museum
Clearly there's lots of Motown influence as well in some of those songs.
And the idea that this show was going to be authentic to Motown was interesting.
