Walter Isaacson, it is my great honor to welcome you to "Talks at Google."

Even Walt Isaacson's recent book, "The Innovators," doesn't have a single mention of PLATO in it, which is absolutely remarkable.

That is what Walter Isaacson's book on Einstein was.

And instead Walter Isaacson, who was my boss offered to run my column in "Time."

And Walter Isaacson, who is a very well-known author, multiple books out there.

We are absolutely delighted to have Walter Isaacson here with us today to talk about his latest book, "The Innovators: How a Group of Hackers, Geniuses, and Geeks

kind -- I know that Walter Isaacson is doing an authorized biography of Steve Jobs.

Because so those of you who've read the Isaacson book know that it pulls no punches.

Some of you will have been here when Walter Isaacson was talking his book "The Innovators."

And I read Range at the same time as I read Walter Isaacson's biography of Da Vinci, and it was fascinating because here you

I didn't see the Sorkin movie, and I didn't read the Isaacson biography, and I don't read the books about my father.

So often you hear about biographies in that format-- and I think that was even the case with Isaacson and Jobs where there was kind of a tension or debate in it,

But you know the name of the people she works with, Walter Isaacson, Sylvia Nasar-- who's the author of "A Beautiful Mind."

And then it was probably only a couple of months later that I was at another social occasion talking to Walter Isaacson, whose book hadn't yet been published,

It was all the stuff you read in Walter Isaacson's book.

And around the same time that that book came out, there was "Steve Jobs," by Walter Isaacson, and of course there had been some Facebook books.

And that story about how Steve Jobs had a brawl and so forth to get that done is very well documented in the Isaacson book and elsewhere.

One of the things, I don’t know if Walter Isaacson has it in his new biography of Jobs but there was a very revealed interview that Terry Gross from Fresh Air did with him in

And along in 2011 comes the Steve Jobs book by Walter Isaacson.

Six of them are technical books that are variations on how to build a rocket ship, and one of them is Walter Isaacson's bio of Albert Einstein.
