How to pronounce “high noon” in English

Five hours later, sunset.You never have high noon.It just is, like, up, down.

So I had this scene, where the climax of my book was taking place, set on the West Side Highway.And basically I pictured it like a high noon scene out of a Western novel, wherethe good guy was approaching from one end of the highway and the bad guy was approaching from the other end of the highway and there was this shootout that took place.

You know, we have a really erroneous idea fed to us through the media of what the proper fear response is because in movie after movie, asobsessed as we are with what extreme danger is like, we see movies like Diehard, and you know, High Noon and movies where people are in mortaldanger. These movies are very erroneous.
