Ecopreneurship as you can tell on the title, it's a mix of sustainability or ecology with entrepreneurship, and so we are on a mission to support entrepreneurs who
And so while these ecopreneurs are trying to achieve some sustainability outcome, they're out-competing
And so our ecopreneurship programs are really a combination of that expertise.
Something that we really preach to our ecopreneurs is that throughout their scaling journey, even as their organization grows, their manufacturing grows,
and the theme of our ecopreneurship programs is this combination of optimism and the power of entrepreneurship to make real lasting change in the world,

And therefore, our ecopreneurship programs in this conference are designed to be extra supplementary support mechanisms to help these entrepreneurs
And now five more that are launching what we're calling ecopreneurship ventures.
A lot of folks won't have heard the word Ecopreneurship, I think it's self-explanatory, but maybe you could talk about that.
For instance, what we find is that ecopreneurs have to be a lot more creative in developing their capital stack than other entrepreneurs
So our ecopreneurs need to leverage government grants when they exist-- Equity-based venture capitalists more catalytic capital and
I almost ask myself, is our role as ecopreneurs to scale our own businesses or simply to scale our inventions
can have is by bringing community of entrepreneurs, ecopreneurs , business leaders, scholars,

Absolutely, so when we say Ecopreneurship, we mean sustainability focused entrepreneurship.
And they're going to be different kinds of entrepreneurs and that's why the ecopreneurship program, it's something that we are excited about.
So what are some examples Keegan and Sam from the conference of interesting ecopreneurs ?
Oftentimes, these ecopreneurs have to make very tough decisions on what markets to go after, what,
To replace commodities with something else, this require entrepreneur, ecopreneurs , people to come in to change the whole game.
And we have with us here in the studio today Keegan Cook, Director of Stanford Ecopreneurship.
but I think it's a framework that's changing a lot in the culture here in light of ecopreneurship, so.
And now, Keegan, you're directing the Ecopreneurship Program, and that was a big part of this.
And, let me just say this particular conference on Scaling Sustainability Innovations and Ecopreneurship.
And then all those buses are powered by solar power, and so she's got a whole ecopreneurship aspect to this business as well.
And there's a fairly new program, it's only about three years old here at Stanford, called the Ecopreneurship Program.
And then we have courses that focus on social innovation, social impact, kind of new venture ideas and ecopreneurship, climate and sustainability
Oh, that's interesting. So Keegan, ecopreneurship, what's that about?
