How to pronounce “califf” in English

I think the blurb from Forbes was that Rob Califf was the most qualified FDA commissioner in the history of the organization,

I'm going to call up this guy named Rob Califf when he talked about what we can do with the clinical trial.

So that's the background for Dr. Califf.
