everybody does dumb things in college everybody does dumb things in high school everybody knows about it and everybody says yeah they were young blinds and sort of hoping that people will come to a sort of an enlightened you know view of of you know what's good
I have a friend who grew up in a Mennonite community that was founded by people who disagreed about whether or not vertical blinds were cool. They thought they were.
So you asked specifically about laws and legislation. And BlindSquare is a travel tool.
But if everyone can remember back how they felt in 2010, remember, right after the financial crash, and a lot of us were blindsided by the crash. Almost blew up the global financial system.
She jumped right up. it kind of blinds us to the spontaneous reality around us.

And that grew into the idea of, man, we should probably write a book about this. And that's how "Blindsight" came to be. I love it. I love them merging.
It's just-- it's just darkness inside. And yet with blindsight individuals, if you are to toss a ball in their general direction, they'll just snag it out of midair. And you ask them, well, how did you do that?
But we also have unconscious visual pathways, as well. And so blindsight is where there is a bifurcation, and there is a divide between conscious and unconscious pathway, whereby the conscious pathway is damaged through some sort of brain damage, only preserving this unconscious pathway.
That would turn out to be a huge mistake because a year later the economy went into free fall. The government was blindsided. Ray's competitors were losing their shirts.
This was a serious tool. I was kind of blindsided by this. No other art mattered anymore.
a seat on the bus. And this age denial not only blinds us to our own bias-- we're busy keeping up the walls between our present self and our older self-- it perpetuates it in a thousand ways.
And you've also got sort of caffeine. Make sure that you have blackout blinds .
So this is probably the ugliest-- it's probably making engineers cringe. It's just like boxes and like blinds . But it worked really well for us to help organize our thoughts.

But they really don't know why. And so when you look at blindsight from the perspective of the brain, we're able to sort of see what's going on here. So it turns out there's many different pathways in the brain which composes our visual system.
The body still has the memories. And sometimes it will kind of blindside us and get in the way of us actually having what we want. Either we're communicating something, or it's just an old belief.
I think that they were just completely blindsided by them and wanted to sort of stop and address these issues.
And they were places that you could pull blinds down if you wanted to.
The light comes streaming in through the closed blinds of your window, and someone comes in your room.
Because it sounds like they were almost as blindsided as much as we were.

So that comes out of part 3 of the book, mortality binds and blinds .
I think being in a marketing background, and especially with the name of the book, "Blindsight," it's intriguing and really thinking about the alternative the neuro background. Why did you guys choose that name of "Blindsight?" How did that spike your interest? Yeah. So it was actually inspired from a very real neuropsychological condition.
But it's to make sure that you feel prepared, and that you don't get blindsided.
Speaking of your IMDB, I found myself watching "Million Dollar Baby" recently and I was totally blindsided.
How do you get the most out of that conversation so that no one can be blindsided later down the road if you are, let's say, passed over?
